Mr. Tai joined Island Capital in 2008 as a Senior Vice President in its Real Estate Investment and Finance Group.
Prior to Island Capital, Mr. Tai held several positions in the Commercial Real Estate industry with JPMorgan Securities, Babson Capital Group (renamed Barings Real Estate Advisors LLC), Charter Research (acquired by Standard & Poor’s) and State Street Bank. While at JPMorgan, he served as a Vice President in the Securitized Products Group, where he focused primarily on CMBS securitizations and high yield debt distribution. At Babson Capital, his primary duties included the analytics, investment and management of their $4 billion CMBS portfolio.
He received an M.B.A. from Boston College, Carroll Graduate School of Management and a B.S. in Finance from Pennsylvania State University.
