Mr. Levy was one of Island Capital’s co-founding members in 2003, and since then has remained primarily responsible for all of Island Capital’s and its affiliates’ private equity, transactional and corporate finance activities. Island Capital, through its affiliates and subsidiary companies, is a real estate merchant banking firm specializing in real estate investing, restructuring and investment management as well as sponsoring, managing and owning real estate operating businesses.
Prior to joining Island Capital in 2003, Mr. Levy was a Senior Managing Director of Insignia Financial Group’s investment banking division where he jointly managed all of Insignia’s principal investment, mergers and acquisitions, private equity investment and transactional activities. Prior to Insignia, Mr. Levy was a corporate associate in the mergers & acquisitions, corporate finance and private equity practice groups at the New York City law firm of Rogers & Wells (now Clifford Chance LLP). Mr. Levy received a B.A. from Tufts University, cum laude, in 1993 and a JD from Fordham University School of Law (Deans List) in 1996.
