Shannon Stotts

Managing Director

Shannon Stotts is a Managing Director at Island Capital Group where she focuses on investments for the firm’s New York City Recovery Fund.

She joined Island in 2017 to serve as Chief Credit Officer for Exantas Real Estate Funding (formerly Resource Real Estate Funding), a position she held until 2020.

Over the course of her 20+ years in commercial real estate finance, Ms. Stotts has worked on hundreds of transactions with capitalizations in excess of $20 billion. Through her experience, she has amassed a diverse skill set across many functions, including capital markets, structuring, origination, underwriting and asset management.

Prior to joining Island, Ms. Stotts worked at Ten-X as Head of Capital Markets. Before Ten-X, she led the Floating Rate Capital Markets team at Natixis Real Estate Finance. Ms. Stotts began her career in real estate finance at Lehman Brothers in the Global Real Estate Group where she was first a member of the Principal Transactions Group and later joined the Credit Distribution team. Following Lehman Brothers’ bankruptcy, she was a senior member of the team charged with asset management and disposition of the estate’s real estate holdings.

Ms. Stotts has lived on the Upper West Side of Manhattan for over 20 years and is an active member of the community. She serves as a member of the Board of Managers of the Westside YMCA and is Vice President of the Mott Hall II PTA. Her past volunteer activities have included Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish, and Harlem Children’s Zone.

Ms. Stotts holds a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.B.A. in Quantitative Finance from NYU's Stern School of Business.
