In this capacity, Mr. Shults is responsible for overall execution of operating strategies and positioning assets for optimal disposition.
Prior to joining C-III in 2019, Mr. Shults was a portfolio director for Equity Office Properties, a Blackstone portfolio company, where he was responsible for 13 million SF of premier office space in eight domestic markets. Before joining EOP, he headed the property management group for Cottonwood Partners, a private investment firm that acquired, developed and operated 6 million SF of institutional office space.
Between 1992 and 1998, Mr. Shults worked for Island Capital’s predecessor company, Insignia Financial Group, where he was a leader among the core group who built Insignia’s national asset management organization from the ground up. Insignia’s asset management team assimilated portfolio acquisitions exceeding $6 billion, comprising over 1,100 properties nationwide.
Mr. Shults earned an M.S. in Land Development from Texas A&M University and a B.A. in Political Science from Truman State University.
